Manufacturing Process

Biorefining, Inc. has developed the Biorefining Process, a patented manufacturing process that converts plant matter into value-added products primarily for pharmaceutical applications. The company will commercialize the process through its own manufacturing facility and intends to license the technology to major agricultural processors with applications for specific crop processing residues, including distillers, grain, sugar beet pulp, soybean meal and citrus pulp. The company’s initial products, which include pectin/arabinogalactin, xy­lose, L-arabinose, galactose, galacturonic acid and CMC, will compete in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, nutraceutical, functional food and food ingredient markets.
